Pensions

Main and supplementary pensions: scalable cuts
Pensioner bonuses: eliminated except OGA
OGA pensions: decrease by 30 million euros
Lump sum: decrease by 20-30% in 22 funds. In addition, levy shall be charged on those who received a higher lump sum in previous years
Age limits: the general retirement age increases from 65 to 67  
Years of insurance: increase from 15 to 20 of the years required for retirement
Pensions of unmarried daughters: cap at 720 euros
Pensioners of special payrolls: reduction due to abolition of the special payrolls
Pensions of uniformed officers: reduction due to elimination of automatic wage promotion

Taxation

Self-employed: elimination of the non-taxable limit for freelancers
Uniform rate of 30-35% for the taxation of professionals from the first euro
Increase of tax deductions on income from commercial businesses and professions to 20-25%
Farmers: taxation in an accounting way (book keeping)
New tax scale from January 1, 2013 with fewer levels for retired employees
Reduction of the maximum tax rate to 30-35% for employees-retirees who declare an income of more than 100,000 euros

Wage costs in the public sector

Special payrolls: decrease of salaries for uniformed officers, judges, NHS doctors, diplomats etc.
Bonuses: Christmas, Easter, and holiday bonuses for civil servants are eliminated
SOEs: moving steadily towards a single payroll
Redundancy: a new type of labour redundancy will be applied to civil servants with the suspension of 15,000 employees over the next two years
Benefits: 50% reduction of benefits for section heads, managers and general managers
Wage promotions: eliminated for security forces

Social benefits


Welfare benefits: will be granted based on income criteria
EKAS: will be given only to those who have completed their 64th year (from the current 60th)
Seasonal bonuses: complete elimination and replacement with unemployment allowances
Renal patients: reduction of costs for their transportation
Tax exemptions: several charitable exemptions are reduced, but are retained for people with a disability percentage of more than 67%, blind people and renal patients

Health


OGA: increase of contributions by OGA pensioners
Reduction of pharmaceutical spending

Public sector – municipalities


Elimination or merger of state and private legal entities
Tickets: increase of ticket prices in transportation by 25%
KAP: reduction of Independent Core Resources
Reduction of investment funds for municipalities

Education


AEI/TEI: merger or elimination of dozens of institutions
Fees: will be imposed on postgraduate programs
Substitutes: increase of teaching hours in order to reduce the number of teachers
Free books: reduction of expenses for free books at AEI/TEI
